 Scared my cats to death April 6, 2008

I bought this product for my two cats. It scared them to death. They advertise that it works on cats but we all know that cats are afraid of noises and anything out of the ordinary. I'm sure it works for dogs. Any suggestions on cat hair control?

We bought this for our dog who is a collie, and our cat. Even though you put your vacuum in another room, they can still hear it. Plus, the suction is overwhelming to them. It works very well on our dog. We tried to use it on our cat, but she was scared to death. She was going crazy, and attacking it. I never saw her so scared. She is declawed, but she ended up biting our son in the face, and he ended up going to the emergency room to be treated. It was on for less then a minute, and thats all it took to scare her enough to bite our son. She is a very sweet, friendly, and laid back cat, and has never bitten before. She is not jumpy, or a nervous cat at all. If you want to get this for your dog, I say its a good idea, but if you want to get this for your cat, I do NOT recommend it. Dont take a chance. No matter what this company says, this vac is NOT ideal for cats. I am writing this so everyone is aware of what might happen if they try to use it on a cat. I rate this as 3 stars, because it does not work on cats the way the company says.
