Durabed July 9, 2008
Our dogs prefer their Durabeds to the furniture. It doesn't accumulate as much dust, as it rests 5-6 inches above the floor. Moreover, it's very easy to clean.
Best Bed I've ever bought July 4, 2008
My dog loves it. This is the first bed that my JRT hasn't been able to destroy. Much better than the beanbag type beds. He hasn't even tried to eat it. These are a much cheaper alternative to the pricey Kuranda beds.

I purchased the small burgandy bed, and this is a perfect fit for our 7 pound Yorkie. The bed was quite easy to put together and felt very solid. I purchased this for outdoor use on the cement patio, which can get quite cold for our dog to sit on. I had the item delivered in time for the weekend, and put it together on the Friday it was received. Our dog jumped right up into it, as soon as I placed it on the floor. He rolled up into a little nester ball to sleep, and then stretched out for a while, taking up the space from side to side. He had plenty of space in the small bed, even when he jumped into it carrying one of his toys. He easily jumped in and out of the bed; without it moving. He likes to stand in it, when out on the porch, as he seems to think that adding those additional inches of height provides him with an improved site line and has turned him into a BIG dog. We took the bed into the house at night to prevent it from getting damp, and when we went looking for our dog a while later, noticed that he had jumped back into the bed again. A neighbor came over to visit, and her dog, which looks to weigh about 10-12 pounds jumped into the bed, as our dog watched. Our dog loves his new bed, and so does our neighbor's dog. What a great product.

Both of my dogs love this bed. It has actually encouraged them to sleep in it rather than jumping into bed with us. My 2 cats also love this bed. As soon as a dog gets up a cat or two gets in.
The bed alone seemed to be a bit hard at least in my opinion, not necessarily to my dogs. I put a cushion in it to soften for my dog that has some joint tenderness. She loves it with the added softness but she liked it before I added it.

I got two of these beds so my old big dog could have a soft place to lie down but she never used them. My younger large dog doesn't use the beds, either--it may be that they don't feel that stable to him. The little dogs, however, LOVE these things. One of the younger dogs has chewed all the plastic caps off the legs, but this doesn't do anything to decrease the bed's integrity--just the appearance and now I'll have to be careful when washing the bed so moisture isn't trapped in the legs.
All in all, nice beds for the price. More durable = much more expensive.
