Once together, it seems to hold together, even when my dog is desperately trying to escape. The metal bars ensure that even the most tenacious dog can't chew through them. Considering it's price--I think this crate is great! I have another crate that I bought that was nearly twice the price, but the functionality is all the same. I guess you cant expect much for only $30. After assemble its great size. It has taken a beating because we use it both at home and traveling with our precious Westies. The crate has stood up to the "hard knocks" very well. We also found it to be a reasonably priced, particularly based on the quality it has provided to us.
