 Great dog tick collar! June 4, 2008
Works great with less toxic chemicals used as compared with Frontline. We have 3 dogs and no problems.
 DON'T EXPECT A MIRACLE FROM THIS TICK COLLAR! June 3, 2008
We purchased this Preventic collar for our two Yorkies from our vet. It cost us $18.00 plus tax.br /br /We have a well maintained and fenced backyard. When we found the first tick, my husband treated the yard with granular and liquid insect killer and preventative. We do have a small neatly stacked woodpile against the back fence that the dogs run in and around (chasing squirrels) and that's where we think the ticks are coming from.br /br /Our Yorkies are well groomed. They are both brushed and combed at least once, sometimes twice daily. We have not been giving them regular baths as the company states the animal oils need to be present for the collar to work. We followed the directions to the letter. br /br /AFTER TWO WEEKS OF USING THE COLLAR, WE WERE STILL PICKING OFF LIVE CRAWLING AND ATTACHED TICKS. We've been keeping them in a jar to see if they would die off. A few died, but several are still very lively, seem quite healthy and are crawling around the jar.br /br /Don't expect much from customer service, if you call them. I called TWO WEEKS AGO and left a polite message asking for a return call. THERE'S STILL BEEN NO RESPONSE FROM THEM. I wanted to give them a chance to explain why the collar wasn't working. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE COLLAR AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT.br /br /After a month of still finding live ticks, we tried Frontline Plus. Since applying the Frontline Plus, we have NOT FOUND ONE SINGLE TICK!!!!br /br /One of my Yorkies is going to the vet for an annual checkup. I plan to let my vet know how poorly this tick collar performed and how poor the customer service is with this company.br /

This collar has been the only effective product that we have tried; here is Florida it is very hard to eradicate ticks since it is warm all year, and none of the tick/flea monthly spot treatments worked for us. We have three dogs and the Preventic collars started working immediately and have worked perfectly for three months now. We did not have any adverse reactions with any of our dogs. No more ticks!

Finally, something that works as advertised. I put this collar on my dog over 2 months ago and the ticks are long gone. I tried the Frontline stuff and all it did was kill any ticks that were already on him but within a day or two they would be back. I also tried K9 Advantix and it was better than Frontline but I would still find ticks on him. Preventic on the other hand has eliminated my tick problem completely. Put one of these on your dogs and kiss the ticks goodbye!

I used the Preventic collars on both of my dogs for the past 3 months. Since using this product, I have seen very few ticks. The collars stay on and never have to be adjusted...the dogs don't even notice that they have them on. I would highly recommend the Preventic collars to anyone with a tick problem.
