I have a mini dachshund and 3 cats. I have found all of them using this bed. The cats don't seem to burrow, but of course, any dachshund lover KNOWS that their baby will burrow. So, I bought this primarily for my dachshund. GREAT choice! She is able to cover herself to the degree she wishes, from nothing to complete coverage. I could post a pic, but it would look just like the one posted by another dachshund owner. :-)br /br /Apart from keeping my baby warm, this bed serves a variety of functions. Great car seat: it keeps her warm, and if she's not feeling cold, elevates her enough to see out the windows without standing up.br /Visiting other homes: if placed on the floor in proximity to me, she will immediately go to the bed and snuggle contently for most of the visit.br /Great way to keep the hair off the floor and furniture! For whatever reason, the cats like to sit on a perch, so when I put this on the couch, the cats sit on it instead of the couch. This is a wonderful thing, if you have cats that shed and/or visitors with allergies. Instead of spending hours trying to get rid of the hair, just pick up the bed and remove to another room.br /For a mini dachshund or other burrower, I would give this 10 stars if I could! Love it! This would make a great gift to the dachshund lover in your life!
 Too "Poofy" November 29, 2008
This purchase was a big disappointment. The bed I received was overstuffed, making it impossible for a pet to lie on it -- the stuffing rolls them off the bed. This makes it totally unusable for my 5# chihuahua much less the larger cats. br /br /The photo shows a much less stuffed model. When I get the time, I'll rip open a seam and pull half the stuffing out and re-sew.

I have a 22 pound mini pin she loves it. She is getting old and I bought a couple of these she just plops her big self right on top. When it is a bit cold in the house somehow she does manage to squeeze most of her body inside.. I wish it was bigger but my doggie is still happy!!

Awkward construction - the pillow portion is really thick, and then it's very small in diameter, so its tippy. I've tried it with 3 different cats, and they all hate it. Don't waste your money.
Cozy Bed for Puppy or Cat May 31, 2008
I purchased two of these. A large one for my Ragdoll cat and the smaller one for my Shih Tzu puppy. They are wonderful, and are machine washable. The cat and the puppy seem to really like them.
