Cuts Shedding! November 2, 2008
The Oster rake did wonders for our husky-lab mix with his thick undercoat. We can tell it works because there is not near as much hair on our clothes, in the vacuum, on the floor, and in our car. And the dog seems to feel better too. A little pricey, but very well made and, in my opinion, worth the money.
Good tool for those difficult areas August 3, 2008
I use this rake on my Newfoundland. The hair behind her ears tens to mat from time to time. This cuts through them without much discomfort to the dog, and without having to cut the mat out completely. br /br /Ideally, a dog would never get matted enough to need this, but most of us just don't have/take time to stay on top of the grooming 24/7. This tool is nice to have when it's time to play catch-up.br /br /

This works great for removing the undercoat from long haired dogs. I use it on my Great Pyrenees and Border Collie. It takes out any weeds they collect and removes tangles. I love it!

We have 2 German Shepherds and it seems all to often half of them ends up in a corner of the room as a ball of fluff. This tool cuts out the dead undercoat and reduces shedding, while the topcoat is intact and your dog still looks like a beautiful dog.br /It has a good weight, and is really a quality grooming piece. I have tried a shedding blade and this works much better. It doesn't pull or hurt the dogs at all. br /Just use it outside! You won't believe the amount of fur it pulls off!
