Product Description
Dog owners claim that Nupro Joint Support has strengthened their dog's immune system and helped arthritic conditions and joint pain. It has also improved their pet's appetite and digestion whil increasing alertness and energy. Ester C (300 mg/scoop) boosts the absorption of MSM (300 mg/scoop)and glucosamine complex (500 mg/scoop) and Calcium Citrate. These ingredients promote growth and repair tendons, cartilage and other connective tissues. Other ingredients include Norwegian kelp, ground flaxseed, bee pollen, garlic, and stemed bone meal. Nupro contains no preservatives, sugar fillers, corn, wheat or by-products, it may be mixed with or sprikled on food, or added to water for a great gravy. Initial Daily Directions: Under 5 pounds - 1/4 scoop; 5 to 10 pounds - 1/3 scoop; 10 to 20 pounds - 1/2 scoop; 20 to 40 pounds - 1 scoop (1 ounce); 40 to 70 pounds - 1 1/2 scoops; Over 70 pounds - 2 scoops (2 ounces). After 3 months, these dosages may be cut to one half for maintenance.

I love this product. It was recommended to me by a specialty dog supply store a few years ago and I have been giving it to my elderly Labrador ever since. He not only likes the taste but it really seems to help his arthritis. I recommend it to anyone with a large breed dog especially prone to arthritis or ortho issues.

Both of my dogs (I have Basenjis) have been on this since they were puppies and they are now 5 years and 7 years old. I originally started them on the regular Nupro, not the Joint Support, but then my older dog broke his leg. After it was fully healed he still favored it occasionally and the vet said he had a little bit of arthritis in that leg from the break, so I switched to the Joint Support formula. He no longer has any problem at all with that leg, regardless of the weather or how active he is . Basenjis are prone to skin problems but my dogs have wonderful healthy coats and, besides the broken leg, have really had no health issues at all. I used to foster rescue dogs and saw a HUGE improvement in the coats and overall health of my fosters after several weeks of Nupro. Best of all it has a great liver flavor that they love. I put the Nupro over their food, add a small amount of warm water and mix to make a gravy. They lick their bowls every night!
