There is no way my 16 lb. shih tzu mix could get over it. So everyday for a week I put my dog up and left her in the kitchen and laundry room area with her toys. Then she decided she didn't like being put up anymore. She knocked the wire mesh out of the bottom corner over the course of the day and escaped. From then on, I gave up trying to put her up because she broke it. The good news is she doesn't mess up in my house now. They are very strong. Good colors and the widths are perfect. It is somewhat difficult to set up. It is a notch lock and unless you and hold it tight and sercurely by yourself and lock it with the other hand(can be done...takes time)do not buy it. Perfect if you have another person to hold it while you lock it.
