As soon as I put it where her bed area is (which was only towels at the time), she was on it within a few minutes and loves it. The crinkle noise doesn't bother her at all.

We bought this for our second oldest cat, who suffers badly from arthritis. He seems to like it pretty well, but so do the others, so we have some sharing, but more fighting, if you have more than one cat, get them each their own. Great product, works very well. I was really surprised how warm it got. It gets almost as warm as the electric one I have for my oldest cat.

Our two cats absolutely love it, one of our best purchases for them (including automatic scoop machine and water fountain). They don't care about little squeaky noise it makes when you get on it. We put it on one of our big chairs in a living room. They cuddle on it all the time, nothing seems to be more appealing for their rest now. It really picks up the warmth of the body and holds it. I think about getting something like that for my car seat, would be good for winter since my seats are not heated. Just have to find a right color. I didn't try to wash it yet, they use it for over a month and still looks clean, no odor. Our cats are on raw diet and they don't shed almost at all.

I bought four of these, two of the grey leopard and two of the beige leopard. They are both attractive though I like the charcoal grey best. The fabric is soft and cozy. Seems well made. The most important thing is of course that the cats love these pillows. They are the favorite place for them to curl up. I originally wanted to get one for my outside cat to help her be warm in her little house, then thought my elderly cat would enjoy one too, and finally decided to just get one for each cat. The crinkle startled one cat at first but she got over it fast and now she is on her pillow more than any other spot. It cuts down on the fur on the furniture as they prefer the pillows. Though for cats, a small dog would enjoy it also. I recommend them, the price on Amazon was better than the pet store too. I even decided to buy the larger version for the dog I take to work with me too, so she has a cozy spot to sleep in my office.

I was disappointed with this cushion and will definitely return it. It's possible that I got a defective one, but it barely heats up--I'd say it warms only by one to two degrees--not nearly what I expected nor what a product that calls itself "self-warming" should deliver.
