| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This virtually indestructible frame bed is made of 16 gauge steel frame and luggage grade fabric for years of long lasting use. It keeps your dog above the cold ground and floor drafts. Raised platform doesn't collect dirt and dust around it and does not create condensation and rot like foam beds that are used on cold floors. The high side walls are comfortable and cozy for your pet to cuddle up against. The padded board keeps the platform straight to protect your dog's spine. Durabed is machine washable and normal soil wipes off with a wet cloth. Or, hose down the floor without moving the bed. There's no waiting for the floor to dry. So great it's recommended by veterinarians.

GREAT June 12, 2008 I read all the reviews on this item all were good so I purchase one for my 100lb dog. It took me two trys to get it together (only because I did not read the direction). Once it was together and I placed a blanket in it and my dog was all over it. He loves it, I put it under the window and he's on it all the time. It's off the hard wood floor so it feels great for his hips and back. I highly recommend this item.
Nice bed, but they don't last long for the price May 26, 2008 I have two Dalmatians, and I bought two beds. We had them for maybe two years. The dogs didn't care for laying on the flat bed surface, so I put pillow beds on top, and then they really loved their new beds. Most of the rubber grippers on the bottom fell off and disappeared. Also, the screws often loosened, causing the beds to shake. I frequently tightened the screws, but eventually, the screws must have come loose enough and several of the screws broke between the two beds. Now, I can't get the screws out, and the beds are worthless. They really are good quality beds, but you have to consistently tighten the screws if you don't want them to snap.
$59.99 down the drain. I would give it 0 star if I could. March 20, 2008 I've had the bed one month and it is totaled. It was well on it's way in the first week. If you try to pick it up or move it it will collapse and all the frame connections come loose. The legs fold under just from the movment of the dogs (two whippets) getting on and off it.
My 5 Doxies Love It! February 12, 2008 I disagree with a lot of these reviews. This bed is great. My dogs just love it. I have five doxies and they all love to snuggle in it together. It is very sturdy and keeps them off the floor and away from cold winter drafts. I see a lot of people complaining that it's breaking on them and that they have dogs that weigh around 100 lbs. If they read the description on this bed, it is made for dogs that weight 30 to 75 lbs! I just love it and highly recommend it. Be careful when putting it together. Lining up the screws with the holes is a little difficult and if you don't get them just right, than I could see it breaking.
don't buy this from Amazon October 22, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We ordered the first bed - it came without most of the frame and was missing the fastners. With amazon, you can't actually talk to some one on the phone, so we had to email, and finally got a replacement. The replacement was missing all the hardware but had the frame. Both beds had been opened and shipped back to amazon previously, as evidenced by the re-taping jobs on both boxes. Amazon obviously never opened the boxes to recheck them for parts, just mailed them out again to the next unsuspecting customer. Now we have two incomplete beds, we've been charged twice, and though the returns are supposed to be easy we've not been contacted by Amazon with return labels. I'm not paying to ship these 20# huge beds back. What a frustrating and expensive experience with Amazon.
