 Great when it works, but Unreliable. May 9, 2008
The citronella spray collar is a great option if you don't want to shock your dog, but this brand is VERY UNRELIABLE. I bought this collar and it worked great for a few months, but then started leaking citronella so the dog would start whining because it was getting sprayed for no reason. It has a lifetime warranty so I returned it for a replacement from Premier which worked ok for a few weeks and then started leaking again. I did this 2 more times after and now they recently sent me their newer all black version made in the USA, but it still has the same problem. In total, I think I've returned 4 defective collars and the one I'm using now has problems with leakage too.

We have 3 huskies and were having trouble keeping the noise level down. I don't feel comfortable inflicting pain so we were looking for other options. This seemed to make sence with an instant interruption to the behavior in a non violent manner. We got one collar to try it and have found that we only need one. They stay together in a group most of the time and the loud mouth was obvious. It will go off if another dog barks or if someone yells and I found that the vacuum will set it off as well. I would definately recommend this product.
A miracle May 7, 2008
I purchased this product for our mixed breed rescue dog. We moved recently from a place with no neighborhood wildlife to a place with many squirrels. Our dog quickly earned the nickname "Mr. Barky" from the local children and the ire of local adults.
I couldn't leave him outside and he has too much energy and curiosity to stay inside for long periods, so his obsession was really causing a problem. I had tried working with him and had him quiet with supervision, but the lesson didn't seem to carry over once I was out of sight.
The collar worked immediately. This is day two and he is enjoying the outdoors, watching the traffic, birds and rodents. Dog number two knows when to bark, only when something or someone is a real threat to the house, so I will not train her with the no-bark collar. Then I'll still have a reliable watch dog on the premises.
ps. The strap is a little hard to work through the keeper. Just set the whole contraption on a countertop and use a butter knife to open it up a little. Work a bit of the strap through with the knife and the rest is easy to guide into place.

Barking has stopped! April 30, 2008
I have four dogs and so the barking can get out of hand when I'm not at home. I bought two of the collars to try out and am so pleased with their effectiveness. It took only two times for all four dogs to figure out that they need to stop barking. Now, I just put the collars on, but keep the spray turned off and they still don't bark when the door bell rings or people walk by.
