 Good in general October 9, 2008
Well, this tube may be the longest one I can find to accommodate my 42'' poster. The tube is composed of two parts, which easily fall apart when extended to the fullest length. Even though it's pretty easy to re-lock into position, still it's not quite convenient.
Good quality for the price June 22, 2008
The tube serves my needs. I regularly bring posters on planes and need them to be in good condition when I arrive. The plastic is not strong, so if something heavy were to fall on the tube, it would crush, but it is unlikely this would happen in the overhead compartment. Given the price, I am pleased with the purchase.
Good for the price May 4, 2008
I was looking for a document tube to carry a 42" inch poster. This tube was one of the few that I could find that was a)long enough and b) within my price range. I received this item quickly and was pleased to find that it was easy to adjust, lighweight, and wide enough to accomodate multiple posters. As a negative, the tube sometimes would come apart while carrying it - this was easily fixed by locking it into place again. Overall, this was a useful purchase for the money.

I agree; the description is incorrect. I called to return this item about 10 times and MyClassroomSupplies never answered the phone.

The original ad said these tubes telescoped to 48". They don't. They adjust to only 43" which is not long enough for my purposes. But, we found a use for them anyway. I am still looking for something to hold 4'x4' posters.
