Simply move a lever on the outside of the aluminum ash catcher to rotate stainless-steel blades in the bottom of the kettle, sifting any debris from inside the grill to the ash catcher. The triple-nickel-plated hinged cooking grate has flip-up sides so you can add charcoal briquettes quickly and safely. Charcoal rails (charcoal fuel holders) are specially designed to fit this smaller bowl and make indirect grilling simple. The tuck-away lid holder allows you to slide the lid back and forth easily, and it can serve as a windshield on breezy days. Great for a 2-4 people family. not bad   January 5, 2006 its a nice grill, it took about 45 minutes to put together. the nuts it came with were really cheap, and we were missing the spacers, but besides that it is pretty well made and a good size. the color is really cool too. Ideal Grill   January 20, 2005 This grill is definately THE ONE to have! I have been using a Weber Silver B for the past couple of years which was okay but since buying the 18 1/2" charcoal grill, I've been using this about 95% of the time (the 5% on the propane is usually to reheat stuff). This charcoal grill has all the useful accessories from the ash catcher to the charcoal rails (ideal for indirect cooking). If you're grilling for 2-4 people, this one is perfect. The table set-up (hooks, wire shelf underneath, cover holder and table) is very useful. More importantly, soaked wood chips (in an empty tuna can) work better on charcoal than propane. Best of all, the food tastes so much better than the propane grill.br /If speed, easier clean-up and convenience is paramount, go propane. If flavor, taste and grilling enjoyment is what satisfies you, this is the ideal grill. But this one was great - the directions are clear, and pictures are well designed to demonstrate techniques. Takes only a few tools - screwdriver, adjustable wrench - and less than 1 hour. It is very sturdy. I've used it twice now and have no complaints. Would recommend the nylon cover if you are going to keep it outside. Too bad Amazon doesn't carry it in their accessory line, but I did find it elsewhere online.
