5 out of 5 stars Very useful for fresh hatch shrimp   October 26, 2008
I like this so much I've bought an extra one.br /br /Useful for hatching baby shrimp and feeding them to your fish - total lifecycle is about 3 days, after which you dump it out, rinse it, and start over. The baby shrimp swim up into the clear container in top, which contains only fresh water.br /br /You can buy refills of the mix to hatch shrimp, which is simple, or if you're cheap, use 3 teaspoons of aquarium salt with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of eggs, which you can buy separately.br /br /Very nice setup. No heat, airpump or light required - but you only get baby shrimp. If you want full grown shrimp, you'll need a different setup.
