5 out of 5 stars Great quality - good buy for less than $40   May 14, 2008
I purchased my unit last year and it works nicely. Took some getting used to it with the remote temperature and all, but it synced up nicely with WWV and matches my other atomic clock to the second with accuracy.

The transmitter for the remote takes some getting used to setting - Make sure to download the PDF from Oregon Scientific to have on your laptop to find the reset procedure when the battery goes. Mine lasted through a harsh Sierra winter and spring before I replaced it.

I like the soft blue display at night when I need to know the time - I just hit the top bar of the clock and it is a soothing display with auto timeout.

As for hanging on the wall - I'm not certain it would be a good idea, but for securing to the wall with a short cord on a bookshelf, this would work well. As for durability, mine has fallen a couple of times about 2 1/2 feet with no troubles.

Only wish is that I could interface this via bluetooth to my PC to record temperature and barometric records - that would be uber-cool. Oregon Scientific - if you are listening, this is a request from one of your customers.

All in all, a great buy - reliable and does it's job. I'd buy again.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent device in its category   March 29, 2008
This is a nice little weather station, it belongs right in the middle: not too fancy, but pretty good with all the important readings. It's true that Amazon picture is not accurate since the instrument doesn't have barometric pressure display, just trends and large weather symbol. However, the unit I got has everything functional as advertised: inside and outside temperature (in F or C) and humidity percentage as well as accurate time/date/weekday display which adjusts itself in sync with atomic clock including switching to daylight savings time. Make sure to use lithium batteries in outside unit. It takes just a little tweaking to set up, but afterwards it works perfectly. Includes alarm settings which I don't use. It works fine on the table top or on the wall.

1 out of 5 stars NO GOOD   January 18, 2008

Nice looking product to set on bookcase or shelf but about as accurate as guessing, not within 5 degrees of correct temperature. Screws on the remote battery compartment were stripped so I never had the chance to put batteries in to try it.

5 out of 5 stars We are happy!!   January 14, 2008
The only complaint is my husband (who got frost nip last year) Checks it too frequenly. Some may complain about seing the screen but if your young and have good eye sight it really is no big deal.

3 out of 5 stars Weather Forecaster review   January 7, 2008
The clock works great. I had a lot of difficulty finding a place in my house where it picked up the signal giving the outdoor temperature and weather forecast. Once I did find a good place, that worked well too.
