Product Description A hybrid of Asian-inspired style and modern details, the New Wave Caff? large party plate lends impromptu or informal gatherings sophistication. The unique, shape and warm, creamy glaze combine for a truly eye-catching effect. Measures 8.5" x 6.75".
Amazon.com Review With a modern stylish presentation, this distinctive party plate impresses guests when entertaining, making waves on any occasion. Move beyond chip and dip to fill this unique white tray with strawberries and melted chocolate or shrimp and cocktail sauce. Measuring 8-1/2 by 6-1/2 inches, the broad wavy rectangular shape with a clever molded bowl imbedded in the design creates an artistic serving piece with contemporary classic lines and lasting appeal. Complementing the New Wave collections, the inspired curves and swoops of the line's design frame food with dramatic flair. Crafted from durable vitrified china that is microwave- and dishwasher-safe, this import from Luxembourg and Germany proves how Villeroy & Boch ceramics remain popular after 250 years. --Roberta Cruger

Too stylish for words March 21, 2008 This one of the pieces I have been collecting (and using!) for over a year. I can't recommend these pieces too much. They have style, panache, quality, and best of all you just really enjoy eating from them.
Pretty and cute! October 26, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We registered for these plates and we use them. They are not meant to be serving pieces as the other reviewer says, but a party plate because they act as a saucer and a tray for a small dessert or appetizer. They are more of a novelty item in the set, but they are really fun to use. Everyone always compliments all of our china, but most people are most amused by these cute little plates- we usually use for desserts, with one of the latte or cappuccino mugs.
Smaller than you'd think December 22, 2004 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased this item for some friends' wedding (it was on their gift registry) along with other New Wave pieces. This piece is small, and I don't know why they call it the party plate. It is not a serving piece. You could use it for serving a sandwich and a cup of soup (soup cup sold seperately). Also too small for chips & dip, unless you're only serving 1-2 persons.
