More work than it is worth November 29, 2008 I got a little tired of gathering kindling and crunching newspaper into balls so I had always wanted to try this item. First it is VERY hard to put together, the rounded piece on the bottom literally has to be bent hard by hand to snap in the groove that holds it. Wetting the newspaper so it would catch to the next sheet was not fun at all. So I tried putting them into each others last fold and that seemed to work. Problem is the logs just don't burn all the way, when I was cleaning my fireplace they were still intact! Paper can you imagine? I gave it to a consignment place near by and said good bye to that waste of time.
NEWSPAPER LOG ROLLER November 16, 2008 I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS FAIR FOR MY NEWSPAPER LOG ROLLER. IT WAS EASY TO PUT TOGETHER. THE ROLLER WORKED FINE AND I ENJOYED ROLLING UP MY OLD NEWSPAPERS FOR MY WOOD FIREPLACE.
Not easy to put together October 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product has terrible instructions and is impossible for one person to put together by yourself. The plate on the bottom is too large for the ends and required great strength to get into place...then you have to tighten the screws and that requires another set of hands. It should have a stop for the handle so it doesnt keep pulling out of the hole on the opposite side. Not as good as it looks.
