Cats love jumping up on furniture and mine love jumping up on this too. I love that I don't have to get down on the ground (arthritis) to change bags, clean up and add more litter. I love that I don't have to change bags every day. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the materials, but I will and have bought another. I do suggest using an oil on the bottom and rake so nothing sticks.
