what more could anyone wany? June 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Short of a rechargeable internal battery, it has everything I expect inn a can opener and them some. The knife sharpener is a handy bonus that most don't have.
B%D GRAND OPENINGS CAN OPENER September 30, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Worked fine for about six months, then failed to open anything. Always struggled with coffee cans. I don't know, is six months a decent run?

This can opener is great to have in the kitchen. When there are several cans to open to fix a neal or special dishes, and the recipie calls for ingredients that come from cans, this device will make preparation easier, rather than using the figer twisting, callous raising hand job.
Tall can opener review August 24, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently purchased the Black Decker Grand Openings II Extra Tall Can Opener in black to coordinate better with a new countertop that I just had installed. It is very similar to a Black Decker white tall can opener that I had been using, which I loved. The black can opener runs well and smoothly. My only complaint is when opening a can that has a lot of liquid in it, the liquid splashes out when the can opener stops. This happened to me when I was opening some cans of minced clams and I had clam juice all over my counter. This didn't happen with my old can opener. Otherwise, I like the new can opener.br /
A waste of money. August 18, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I curse this every time I try to use it. It's true that it takes several attempts to get the can lined up properly so it will work. It is much faster to use a hand-held opener.br /br /Once the can is lined up and it is working, it not only opens the can, but it always takes a thin layer of paper off the can. When I take my can off the opener, I always have to pick little shreds of paper out of the product.br /br /
