Lotta (nammed after the lottery which helped me afford the pet deposit and the shelter fee so I could adopt her) is very happy with ttis. She does spend more time at the water dish since I bought the fountain and I’m guessing it’s because the constantly circulating water tastes better. This is the 2nd fountain I’ve bought, the first from another company not lasting for more than a few months. I’ve had this now for a longer time and especially appreciate the cleaning instructions that come with it and were lacking from the previous product. I have noticed that she also has, for an indoor cat, become a more active and content cat, although I don’t know how much of a factor the fresher watr supply is. I do suspect that it is a factor in her health. And I’m happier because the maintenance for this one is much simpler. It’s well worth the price..

My sister has one and her cats love it. I read many reviews before ordering. Found the item to be quiet, no leakage with minimal attention to details. So far very pleased.

First, I bought the Petsmate vesion and it sucked. So, I bought the Drinkwell and loved it. When the moter burned out because I ran it without and water, I knew I had to buy a new one. I decided to buy the newer version, the Platinum and I am not dissapointed. My cat loves it as much as the original and I love it even more. It has improved features such as a decrease in noise while running and pet hair traps. If you’ve never owned one of these waterers you will find that your pet drinks more than ever before. My cat just loves to drink from the stream.

Once my cats stopped sniffing around the Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain as if it were a new cat in the house, they started using it and have continued to do so. The main reason I purchased it is because my cats would only drink water from a driping faucett. The fountain has completely changed their behavior – to a degree – but it is obvious that they are now drinking more water during the day. The fountain also quiet, which is great. The running water is barely audible.

There is really only one downside to the product – cleaning it weekly. We have been washing it by hand and have not yet tried the dishwasher which, according to the manual, is approved depending upon the the heat/temperature adjustablility of the dishwasher. Haven’t figured this one out yet.

Moving the pet fountain while it is full of water to and from the kitchen before and after cleaning requires a bit of dexterity but is not that difficult.

My Cat’s could not wait to use it. They all love running water so this is the perfect idea for them. Highly recommend it. Easy to put together and easy to refill.
