Kaytee Perfect Choice is a fortified daily diet designed to provide excellent nutrition for your guinea pig by supplying increased variety in a nutritionally balanced formula. Perfect Choice combines a collection of vitamin C rich pellets, natural seeds, grains, and dehydrated vegetables to entice your guinea pig to eat healthy and have fun at the same time. It is intended as a complete diet that may also include Kaytee timothy hay or alfalfa hay. Feeding Instructions: While consumption may vary between individuals, give a guinea pig one quarter to one half cup daily. Discard excess food daily and adjust feeding volumes to reduce wastage and ensure consumption of all food items provided. Offer Kaytee hay or Kaytee treats in a separate dish in the guinea pig's enclosure. Supply guinea pigs with ready access to clean, fresh water at all times. Provide Perfect Choice in a clean, sanitized food dish. Empty, clean and wash all food and water dishes daily. For maximum freshness, store in a cool, dry location (below 70 degrees (F) and 60% relative humidity). Reseal between use. Refrigerate or freeze for extended use. Do not store directly on floors.
Customer Review: beware feeding guniea pigs seeds w/shells!
I can't tell from the picture, but it looks like this mix has sunflower seeds. Surprisingly, most "mixes" do contain seeds in their shells. If you do any research on what to feed guniea pigs, you will find out that sunflower seeds can KILL your pig! They can get caught in their intestines & cause internal injuries. DO NOT FEED YOUR PIGGY SEEDS WITH SHELLS!
