MY white mouse who I bought at a pet store about a year ago, has been scratching herself uncontrollably to the point where she has permanantly scarred herself. One of her ears is half gone and there are scabs & bald patches all over her back.
I'm sure this is caused by mites, but I have no idea how to get rid of them. I have kept her cage clean, I even went as far as giving her a very mild flea bath.
What else can I do? I'm afraid she might get an infection, or die from her wounds. I can not afford to take her to the vet.
