Roxanne A is on a distinguished road
Default I am trying to sneak my hamster on my flight that doesn't allow

rodents.. is security going to care? Basically I am leaving college for the summer and have a hamster to take care of. My flight doesn't allow rodents (he has a small travel carrier) and if they did it would be $50. Does security need any documentation from my flight or anything else to let him go through?1.) The hampster has a travel case and can't get out.2.) They don't allow rodents on the plane.3.) I was going to put his travel case in a big bag for the plane but obviously not thru security the x-ray machine is bad for hamsters.4.) When going through security will they ask to see anything? Does he need a ticket or paperwork? Also stop being perverted and gross! I didn't come on here for those dumb answers!I am not going to SNEAK anything pass security. I just want to know if security requires anything for animals or if they really just don't care. Basically do I need paperwork from the airlines to get through security with a hamster??????? Because if Security doesn't care and all you have to do is say you have an animal... then I will be okay because at that point I know how to get it on the plane.

Roxanne looking at your photo, I know where you can hide it.If you get caught the violation will be serious since other passengers may have great objections. Additionally if it gets out in the cabin, there will be great commotion and somebody may just stomp on it. Do it right and pay for proper transportation.

Seriously? Don't try to "sneak" anything.

You will not be able to get your hamster past the x-ray machine - obviously security will be able to tell that it's an animal and they will ask you for his "ticket." If you're not allowed past security, then you'll have to either give up the hamster or miss your flight and forfeit your ticket. Checked bags are x-rayed now, and are put into non-heated, non-ventilated cargo compartments, so he'll freeze to death or suffocate under there. Pets who are officially travelling on a flight are carried in heated, ventilated cargo compartments. If it only costs $50 to fly with your pet, then pay it. Another solution would be to find someone driving to an area near your school and pay them to transport him.

maybe u should buy(or borrow) a small dog, put it in the travel carrier with the hamster, and then they will think its a dog.
