I have a diabetic cat who is on a wet-only diet of canned and raw food because the carbs in dry food, even the "prescription" diabetic dry food (which was as high in carbs as all the other drys) make her blood sugar uncontrollable. I am now in the process of getting my other cat -- who has eaten dry food her whole life -- off of dry food since that is very likely what caused my other cat to become diabetic. It hasn't been easy because dry food manufacturers do anything they can to make the "McDonald's of cat food" as enticing as possible, but she is finally starting to accept wet foods and when I brought a can of this Wysong Au Jus Rabbit home, she actually went right for it. I was really surprised. (Honestly it smelled so good it made me hungry, which is somewhat icky!) My diabetic cat, who is a Fancy Feast addict (only the low carb varieties) also really liked it. Remember, this food doesn't have all the vitamins and nutrients needed to feed it to your cat as their sole diet, so you should mix in a supplement (I use Platinum Performance Feline) and rotate other nutritionally complete canned foods into the cat's feeding regimen. Adding some raw food every other day or so is also a good idea since it's what cats evolved to eat.
