I work at a large rabbit rescue and this is what they do. When you take him to the vets, if he has a partner, it should go to the vets too to avoid being rejected when it returns home with different smells on it. Place him on towels or vet bed for the next 2/3 days to allow him to be comfy. Make sure he eats within 24 hours of the op, and tempt him with little bits of fresh veg to help stimulate his appetite. Make sure he has a drink and poos within the time too. Other than that , if he is given anti-biotics , give that every day until it's finished and just check he doesn't nibble his stitches. Males recover quicker than females so not to worry really. Just make sure you know your vets out of hours number in case anything crops up but other than that I wish him a speedy recovery.
