Yes they are alot of work. I have two males right now and seem to have nothing but issues. If you have kids or are a Kid i would not recommend a rabbit. You have to keep up with their cages by making sure they are clean and have food/water 24-7. Not only that their teeth and nails need to be checked to see if they need trimming. Then there is the Vet bill. If you get a female its best to get them spayed to prevent uterine cancer as for males should be fixed to prevent spraying, and aggression, and possibly cancer. Thing is it usually cost alot to get them fixed because most bunnies do not do well under anasthesia. So i would not recommend a rabbit. Then you have the up side of getting a rabbit. They can be good companions, can be liter trained, and most have good personalitys, also they live for atleast 8-15 years.
