Hi all, I am new here and do have a question about our 7 month old female daschund. She has not been spayed. Over the past week, she has started to emit a rather nasty odor. Mostly from her hind quarter. I checked her anal glands and they were fine. I am wondering if she could be coming into her first heat (season). We have never had an un-altered dog before and I was wanting to know if this is normal. I finally gave her a bath and that helped a little. If she needs to be seen by the vet, could someone let me know. She seems healthy in all other aspects. Normal appetite, behavior, play, etc. Thanks Marilynj
