Default Perils

Customer Review: Its English and its great
I have seen these guys live twice and I was worried that their live sound would not translate onto this CD, but I am glad to say that I am wrong. For a debut, this is a really solid album, this band work hard and the results are amazing. Reminds me of a 70's English horror movie soundtrack gone into meltdown. Goblin are an obvious influence. Give this band a few albums and they are gonna top the Susperia soundtrack. On another note I gather that the Keyboard player in this band is a member of a particulary dark and nasty sect of 'evil' worshippers so I advise people to tread carefully.
Customer Review: Dark music, but quite fun.
This album has got to be one of the best debut albums my ears have ever had the pleasure of sampling. The music on this album is dark and creepy at times, but always providing an attraction to it that the listener cannot help be get sucked in by. The band plays an interesting sort of music that could be classified as avant-garde Eastern European Folk music. But what ever it is, it's absolutely great. Chances are, this album will not get to much of a chance to shine out in the day light for millions of people to witness. It will, however, remains one of the best debut albums ever with some of the best and most interesting music that can be purchased to date. I would recommend this album to anyone that loves the Mimicry record label and enjoys different sorts of music that take on a life of their own.
