Resembling large lima beans, Fava Beans are flat and oval bean that comes in an inedible large pod. The Fava has an assertive, earthy flavor and granular texture. Favas are often served as a puree with spices, onions, garlic, and dill. Favas can also be roasted and eaten as a snack, a common cooking method in east Asia.
