Good feed, good hay, pasture, a good vet, pro shoer, (Stay away from the shoers that work elsewhere, then shoe at night, if they were good, they would do it for a living!) , use the best tube wormer, stay away from discount stores, and you will be ok.. "The Centralstates Horseman Magazine"

I have a library full of horse care books I have compiled over the past seven years. Here's a few of my favorites.1. Complete Book of Horses and Riding -- Judith Draper, Debby Sly, Sarah Muir

http://www.richardshrake.com/Richard Shrake is my all time favorite. He has some excellent books AND videos. Hes been around a long long time. There are numerous others out there. Do a search for horse training books, you will get a bazillion hits.READ READ READ!!! Get the books that are from well known trainers. And if you can get videos, they are great. If you know horse people, hang around them, many will give you tips. In the end, tho, you will find your own ways and pick what works best for you and your horse. Thats the ticket! :-)Best of luck to you and enjoy!!
