Well it is the same care as a horse but in smaller quanities so it costs less. They are also less because they usually dont require shoes or as musch food too! For the turn out, if you only have one pasture for them, I would make it big because then they wont eat all of the grass in the field. But if it was smaller, all the grass would be gone! I love those little minies!

A lot of good advice, so, I guess that is that.I wanted a Mini Cooper, but, I have decided I will settle for a mini horse. I enjoyed the information as it help me know more how I will care for the little guy.

I have two miniature horses and their cost for injections, hoof care and deworming is the same as a big horse. Please be careful when feeding grain as they do not need that much. Mine get 250ml grain in the morning and at night. If you over feed they could get laminitis. They make wonderful pets but can get cheeky because everyone spoils them. I have also found that my two are great little escape artists, so make sure your fencing is adequate.Enjoy
