I breed Peruvian Paso horses, although I'm down now to just two. They have all been wonderful animals and they've all been spoiled rotten over the years. I feed only high-quality alfalfa (twice a day), about two pounds Equine Senior twice a day, and because they're both over 20 years old they get a really good supplement with chondroitin/glucosamine/MSM. They're happy, healthy, bright eyed, loving and playful. My husband always says that if there's such a thing as reincarnation, then he wants to come back as one of my horses!David W: She's not rich BECAUSE she has horses! But I think neither of us would trade all that love for anything!

Are you asking because you need to know, or are you just curious how other peole take care of their horses - I'd hope that having 14 of them you'd have a half a clue??I breed Arabians & derivatives, I have 10 at the present moment. They get nice big safe paddocks, fresh water, hay twice a day, and a suppliment/hard feed at night consisting of copra, full fat soy meal, garlic, and their vitamin & mineral rations, all varied depending on age, work levels, etc. Their hooves are regularly trimmed, they get vaccinated against tetanus & strangles. And I really prefer natural horsemanship techniques for all levels of training, as it is non violent, and they all understand it and trust me.

What kind of horses do you have? I am also absest with horses. I love Quarter horses, Appaloosas, Paints, and Thoroghbreds. But I would like to own a couple types of the draft breeds, and an arabian or two in my life.

Always make sure your horse has access to water, it is very important, feed the weight limit, excersize him/her, and worm and get a farreier.
