Bubbles the Beanie Buddy is your warm-water friend. (The Beanie Buddy is the larger version of the Beanie Baby.) As his tag tells us, he was "made in the swimming position" and hence "was quite a challenge to manufacture." His body is mostly yellow with two black stripes, black plastic eyes, and a small sewn indentation for a mouth. The shell is made from 100 percent Tylon, a Ty Inc. exclusive manmade fabric that has the most luxurious feel you'll ever find on a plush toy. (Inside he's made of polyester fiber and PE pellets in a cloth bag.) Bubbles makes a wonderful toy or addition to a collection. Surface wash only. --Peggy Etra

Bubbles the fish is not only the best beanie, but also the best fish around. It's a terrible shame they're not available any more. We've had our Bubbles, "Humphrey Boga", for several years now, and although he is getting a little old, he is still in his prime.

Bubbles is a soft, brightly-colored fish. It's a shame he's not available anymore. He is one of my favorite Beanie Buddies. All of the best others are no longer for sale either, it would seem. They are Diddley (soft, beautifully colored pastel green dog with a gingham ribbon collar, a licorice jelly bean-like nose, a unique pose and a cute face); Rover (bright red, sweet-looking dog with floppy ears and a jelly bean nose); Parfum (vibrant fuchsia poodle); & Brigitte (rose pink poodle with shimmery ribbon collar). The Beanie Buddies are larger and much more substantial and durable than the Beanie Babies.
