If they are guppies, get them away from their mother. She'll eat them!

My brother's fish is going to have babies any time now. She had 10 and she ate them. (She's gonna have a lot!) Anyways, the best idea is to isolate the baby fish and feed them. Don't let them around other fish or any older fish because they will tend to eat them. Also, if you have them in a tank with afilter, just make sure that they aren't going to get sucked in by them!

Best to separate baby fish - especially guppies, mollies, and moon fish (little red fish) - from their parents and other adults. Most come out into the watery world able to survive for themselves. Make sure there's a place for them to hide whether you separate them or not (plants, a pagoda, dark-colored bottle) and that the water you put them in is clean. Feed them a small amount 3 times a day. If you have a lot of plants, you don't need a filter. And if you have a filter, make sure it can't suck up the babies!

Well, it depends on what type of fish it is. Many cichlids need to be with their parents- for food, shelter and safety. In the case of most fish, however, it is best to isolate them in a bare tank, because they often get stuck under gravel and other various objects.
