Default Tell the Most Caring Thing Your Dog Did For You!?

Last Sunday my husband and I and our Keeshond were on a 4 mile walk, with the dog on a leash held by hubby, and me walking after. When we went down a little hill, the dog turned around to be sure I was still following, and assured that I was, kept walking. It was soooo cute!!!

One time I was dumped by my boyfriend of 6 months, and I came home, and my dog seemed to sense what was going on. She curled up on my lap and licked my face, and didn't even try to drag me outside for a game.

I have been dealing with a huge kidney stone last month. So many days I was in such terrible pain. I had to take pain med and lay down on a heating pad just to be half comfortable. So for a week or so after the surgery to break up the kidney stone I had to stay in bed to help relieve the pain. My boston terrier at the age of 4 months old would lay in bed with me all day snuggled up like she could sense I wasnt myself. She never got out of the bed except to potty. I didnt even know she did that untill I got up myself and saw she went to her pads and did her job. She would just sneak back up in bed with me and never went to look for trouble. It was a puppys perfect opportunity to be in trouble all day and she just made sure she was laying with me to help me feel better. She would curl up in a ball by my head with my arms around her. So she would put her head on my arm and my head was on her. It made me feel really good. I will never forget her tender moment.

Our dog makes the rounds every night, poking her nose into each bed, making sure everything's OK. But the best was when I took her to see a friend who was suffering from alzheimers and dying of cancer, recovering from a stroke, and feeling lonely and miserable. Alex, who is an enormous, puppy-like German Shepherd, knew just what to do. She walked calmly to Edith, put her head in Edith's lap, and let her stroke her ears and neck. She brought so much peace to that poor lady. I don't know how Alex knew, but she seemed to sense the situation immediately, and figured out her role precisely. It was a kindness to Edith, and a lovely memory for me.

I don't know if this is consisdered as caring, but during spring break I was sitting on my sofa with my friends and there was a knock on the door, my dog automatically jumped off the sofa and jumped for the door. It was my cousin, she was coming over to see my new dog. And my dog did not know her so he ran up to her and jumped at her head growling.

Stopped smoking cigars in the house. The smell was really getting to me!Addedendum: Geeze folks it's a joke! I am a dog lover and owner, but it hasn't yet killed my sense of humor. Guess I'd better watch out for that, huh? LOL.
