Hi all, My black lab, border collie mix has a cut between two toes on a hind paw. I've only noticed recently but I think the cut is older. Her white fur on that paw is a little stained but I nerver noticed blood comming out of it, also, it is not swollen or pussy. At first, I was washing it with water and a little bit of peroxide and putting anti-bacterial oitment on it (a dog owner's advice). But my dad has planted a seed of doubt by telling me that the dog's siliva is way better than my treating it. She is still playing strong, seems happy and only minimaly bothered by the paw. I've tried to keep her indoors for a few days but she was driving me mad. After the dog park yesterday, I noticed that she seemed more tired than she usually is and maybe a slight change in her walk. What should I do? Treat it myself, let the dog take care of it, or empty my purse at the vet's? Maybe someone has had a similar experience and can help??!!!
