Default Mass on trachea

What are the symptoms of a mass on the trachea? My 6 year old chihuahua came down with a cough and wheezing on Monday and we thought it might be kennel cough because we recently adopted a puppy from the shelter. Well we took him to the emergency vet that afternoon and they put him in an oxygen chamber. They said he might have a collapsed trachea or he might have a mass that didn't show up on the x-ray. He is still coughing and it sounds like a goose or duck, but I am worried sick he might have a mass. We plan to have an endoscopy done soon. Does anyone know the symptoms of a mass on the trachea? I am really hoping and praying that this is just tracheal collapse and nothing worse.

Please help! Thank you.

Thank you so much Aggy.

Chico seems to be doing much better actually. He is not coughing near as much as he was, which leads me to believe he may have had allergies/cold with the collapsed trachea. We are still looking out for him though. Thank you so much for the good thoughts!
