Default Lab mix puppy AM vomiting

Our 6-month-old labrador retriever/golden retriever mix has been vomiting a clear to light yellow liquid (sometimes foamy) since we got her 3 months ago from a pet rescue service. On average, I would say she does this about once a week. Yet, she only vomits in the morning (before she eats) and otherwise is completely healthy: strong appetite, always wants to play, and full of energy. We asked the vet about it, and without any other symptoms, he could only offer a shot to strengthen her stomach muscles and stop the vomiting. That worked for a couple weeks, but lately she has been back to her once a week habit. Has anyone else experienced this with their dog? We have searched, but couldn't find anything that would explain just this one symptom. Thanks for the help!

Hi, hope this can help. My 1 year black lab, border collie mix had the SAME thing around 6 months of age, I'd say about 4 times. The only recurrent factor for me is that I was feeding them a little later (an hour or two) than I usually did. I then concluded that she was vomitting because she was too hungry (some people also react that way to hunger). I therefore make sure she's fed at a reasonable time (after my breakfast). Also, Since my dogs are a little older now, they get alot of fresh fruits and vegetables, plus small amounts of yogurt and cheese (good for building healthy stomac bacteria). Maybe this also helped. It hasn't occured for months now! good luck with your dog!
