Hello. I have a year old Box whom we have been battling hookworms since December of 06. We bought her when she was 5 months (November) and found out in December she had 3 intestinal parasite. The breeder said she had been wormed. Ever since we have been battling hookworms. It has stunted her growth. We are treating her with Panacur and Sentinel. DOes anyone have any suggestions.

I hope you have taken her to a vet, trying to take care of the problem on your own is hit and miss and never really knowing if you got the job done right. Hookworms mostly occur in puppies, it is good practice to keep the pups enviroment clean, remove all feces frequently, keep lawn short, wash down paved areas. Dog should recover fully but see a Vet to make sure!

Yes we have taken her to the vet. She has been on prescribed medication by the vet for the parasite since December 06. We keep are yard clean, home and cage clean. I believe that the breeder didnt worm her correctly or did it over the counter method..
