Well first of all how much did it eat? If only a small amount dont worry to much if a large amount like a box or big bar check with the vet just to be sure. My dog has small amounts and always has and he is 16yrs old.---AGGY

Nothing, unless the chocolate was gourmet dark chocolate there is not enough real chocolate to harm them. The thing you should do is keep the chocolate away from your dog or it will get fat. My 2 dogs each ate an 8 ounce solid chocolate Easter bunny, they were not harmed in the least as milk chocolate has very little real chocolate liqueur, and that is where the theobromine comes from.

How much chocolate? Just keep an eye on him. If he starts acting funky and croaks, get another dog and keep the chocolate out of the dog's reach. Your dog will be okay, just don't let him make it a habit.

Just watch him,if you see signs of illness take him to the vet, years ago I had a lab that got a hold of a box of chocolates left on the table,in the morning I woke up to wrappers all over the floor and pieces of the ones he tried but didn't like.I was so afraid of him dying, but he didn't,I watched him the whole day,he was fine, maybe the fact that he was a big guy had something to do with it.
