Elaine is on a distinguished road
Default Too Fat

I took Eva (the Diva) to the vet yesterday for her booster and a health check. She is just coming up to 3 years old. She is a very large cat and her adult weight was always averaging 6kg but now she has shot up to 7.6 kg.
I have to put her on a diet and am very aware of the health implications of a) reducing her food intake by too much too soon and b) not reducing her food intake at all.
My question is, the vet said to reduce her food intake by 30%, I feel this is too much too soon, what do you think?
I am thinking more along the lines of reducing her food intake by around 15% and taking more time to get her playing.
