Default Really persistant Bacterial infection

Okay, so Java is a neutered male Oriental of 2 years.
About a month ago I took him to the Vet after he started sneezing and had a stuff nose as well was making Darth Vader type sounds when he breathed through his nose.
They ran a culture of the discharge from his nose and prescribed Clavamox at 1ml twice a day. the culture resutls came back and there were three bacteria present. All of which the vet said are common and easily treatable.
We followed the instructions and within 4 days the symptoms were gone. We continued the Clavamox through its prescribed duration stopping only when it ran out as we were instructed by the Vet.
3 days later the same symptoms began to reappear so off to the vet we went again and got more Clavamox.

I have now been to the Vet Five times counting the run tonight. I again have more Clavamox. His symptoms clear up after each treatment but return within days of the antibiotic running out....and I know soon he will develope an immunity to Clavamox.

His appetite is fine (he eats everythign in sight and goes looking for more). He runs, he plays and he is not lethargic.

I dont get it. What the heck is this? and how the heck do I rid him of the problem once and for all? Any ideas?

Thanks

I would suggest having another culture done to be certain this antibiotic is the one you need and increase the duration of the antibiotic therapy. It seems as though the antibiotic is not completely getting rid of all the bacteria. Although the symptoms resolve with the antibiotic, enough bacteria is likely still present, causing the infection to resurface.
