Kitty Kough
One of my cats is about 9 years old and in the last few days he's "coughing" 5-6 times a day. The whole episode lasts less than a minute and it's very similar to when he eats some grass to induce vomiting and get rid of hairball, except he's not barfing. And it happening whether he's indoors resting or outdoors.
A few days ago, whenever he coughed, he would sit on 4 legs and he acted as if he was about to barf, but in the last couple of days he coughs even when he’s sleeping on his side.
I’ve known him since he was a kitten and I adopted him from his previous owner this year. I have never seen him and my other cat cough this way several days in a row.
What could be the cause?
