Leave the cat to care for the kittens, she'll know what to do. She'll find a safe place to have her babies, and do not touch them until they can get up and around on their own.

Just leave them she will care for them on her own. It's around 8 -9 weeks when they can eat on their own before you can give them away.

Contact a local humane society or cat rescue group for help. Do NOT give away the kittens! Rescue groups know how to screen people to make sure the new owners are caring and responsible, so let them help you.Next step -- spay your cat! There is a huge pet overpopulation problem, and millions of unwanted pets are put to death each year. You can help by spaying and neutering your pets. Again, contact a humane society or rescue group for information about low-cost spay/neuter services.

There really isn't much for you to do! My momma cat gave birth to five litters before I finally got wise and had her "fixed". The momma will care for the babies herself. She may or may not want you present when she gives birth...my cat followed me around the house until I finally sat with her when she was ready. Unless the momma is in some sort of distress, you should let nature takes its course. The babies will open their eyes around the 10th day. It's best to give momma and babies as much quiet and privacy as possible and don't handle the babies until they are a few weeks old. You can adopt them out once they are 8-10 weeks or so. Advertise w/fliers in grocery stores, your post office; some newspapers will let you place an ad for free. Let friends and family know. If you must take them to a shelter, pick a no-kill shelter.

There is nothing you can do when your cat have her kittens, because you can't touch them for about 7 to 8 weeks old. Because when a cat has kittens they have a certain scent to them that the mother recognizes, and if you start petting and touching them to early, the mother cat will kill them. (Plus the mother cat knows what she's doing) But after the kittens are walking and eating on their own you can start by taking to the vet, and when everything is fine then you can start giving them away.

Just leave the mother cat to look after the kittens when they are born and do not touch them unless the mother is not feeding them and you have to bottle feed them yourself. You can give them to a local pet shop which will sell them...or sell them from you're own home. But remember to not start giving them away until they are between 6 1/2-7 weeks old.Good Luck : )
