my cat is finally being treated for diabetes..he has had it for a while but my dad is just finally brought him to the vet...anyway..he is not the same cat he used to be...its been 2 weeks and i dont see an improvement..also he likes to lie in cold places...and he wont poop in the litterbox..does anyone else have a diabetic cat..any advice?? i dont know why i typed kitten he is a cat but i was thinking about kittens lol

Diet can play a huge role in feline diabetes. What are you feeding?

were feeding him hills science diet md..for diabetics...its wet food to...hes still not improving much

It can take some time for diet to start to turn things around. How long was he sick and how old is he?

I would recommend feeding canned Evo cat food - it's a bit higher in protein than the md and is made of higher quality ingredients, without some that may stress the pancreas as in md.
