I am guessing from your question that you have perhaps rescued a baby bird. So my advice will be based on that. If it's too young to drink water on its own out of a bowl, you may want to put water in an eye dropper type tube and open the beak carefully, and squeeze the little drops of water into its mouth that way. Do this carefully as not to drown the bird with too much water at one time! Once you have rescued a wild baby bird, the parents will often not "want it back" because it has been now touched by human hands. Once you feel it is ready to fly, you might be best to set it free back into the wild. Depending on the type and breed of the wild bird, it may not do well in captivity.Good luck with your new found friend.
