This is an obligation you don't want (and is probably illegal, depending on what species it is). After it hatched, you'd have to feed the thing all day long every day, etc. Let nature take its course, not every egg makes it, that's just how it goes.

Chances are the egg has been away from its mother too long to have any chance of surviving. Sorry!

Hmm... I suggest keeping it warm at all times, no matter what. Keep it in a safe place where it cannot crack. When it grows up, eventually release it. This is a bad situation to be in however. If you cannot handle this, let nature take its course and put it back where you found it.

first if it hasent been fertilized by the dad then it is no good .. second depends on how long it was laying here .. if it is not covered up and kept warm within minutes it will die also ..

youd need an incubatoor, and to know what bird the egg belongs to so that you know the tempature. You didnt say if you knewhow old it is, so i would probably say that you should just throw it away- Waine, Genraol Poultryman YRPF
