i am hoping that if you are taking care of a snake, that you know atleast what they should eat?? Boas are just like any other snake, they dont really have to DO anything to be well cared for. Socialization is important, especially since boas get large. So frequent handling is best for everyone. It is better to keep it in the cage UNLESS snake is being closely supervised. I dont agree with letting a snake of any size roam free outside of the cage. They like to eat mice, frozen mice are best. Frozen mice bought from pet stores are parasite free and wont be able to bite a snake like the live ones will. Depending on the size of the snake, a small rat would probably be sufficient for a smaller or growing boa. They need to eat once a week when young, then spread feedings to once every two weeks once they are adults. Hope this will help..
