I don't reccomend getting a gold fish as your first fish. Go with something cleaner, easier to care for. I reccomend the Platy. They are fun to watch, come in lots of colors, and are simple to care for. I feed my tanks a little bit twice a day. The water changes depends on the size of your tank if the tank is 10 gallons or less i reccomend cleaning it once a week. Don't forget to purchace a filter! These are very important investments, because they make your fish happier and help to reduce your ammount of cleaning. Keep your tank out of direct sunlight!
